2017…KMRD’s Year in Review – A Great Place to Work!
As we close in on 2018, it’s that time of year again when we reflect on what’s happened. 2017 has turned out to be another great year for KMRD.
The company is growing faster than ever before. 2017 was full of highlights and achievements that we’re proud to share with you. Our strategic investments added a tremendous value, growth and stability along with a couple of new awards. What follows are some of our key highlights for the year.

2017 Corporate Highlights
We love getting awards, but what’s even better? Exceeding commitments to our clients, treating our employees and our community well, and having our “organic” (homegrown) growth exceed our 2017 goals by over 100%! Below is a rundown of our greatest hits for 2017.
- 22% REVENUE (NEW GROWTH) – Our business grew by another 22%! This homegrown increase validates our approach to risk and insurance.
- WE EXPANDED BY 1,600 NEW CLIENTS – We also entered into over 1,600 new client partnerships including a strategic merger with Kueny Insurance. Another new record… Wait until you see next year!!!
- WE’RE PROUD OF OUR 98% CLIENT RETENTION – We retain over 98% of our clients year after year. We are grateful for their loyal partnership.
- WE HELP CLIENTS ACHIEVE RATE DECREASES – New clients who assigned KMRD as their exclusive representative achieved rate decreases that were better than the marketplace average including more coverage!
- WE MAINTAIN A VERY DIVERSE CLIENT BASE – No one industry represents more than 11% of our business. We specialize in one thing… improving the fundamentals of risk management.
- WE MAINTAIN A LOW 4:1 CLIENT TO EMPLOYEE RATIO – We added 7 great people this year! Staffing levels and technology enable us to provide broader coverage, better claims results, impact safety and loss control support and provide competitive pricing. Our Risk Management Division’s client to employee ratio remains one of the lowest in the industry at 4:1. You will not find a more qualified focused support team.
- OUR TEAMS DO NOT PLAY CARRIER FAVORITES – No one carrier has more than 13% of our business demonstrates we do not have any standing carrier favorites. The carrier who does the best job for our client will always be our favorite.

- WE CAN NOW BETTER SERVICE INTERNATIONAL CLIENTS – KMRD was selected as a partner in the Worldwide Broker Network, a strong network of partners with over 500 offices in 6 continents. Our association with WBN allows KMRD to provide internationally integrated service for US-based companies with overseas interest, as well as international companies doing business in the US.

Misc Business Improvements
- WE HAVE A SUCCEED RISK MANAGEMENT CENTER – We now offer the most comprehensive insurance risk management platforms available. It includes online safety training modules, HR tools, Cert Tracking, and more.
- WE MOVED INTO BETTER AND BIGGER OFFICES! – After an extensive search for more space to accommodate our growth, we moved downstairs! We look forward to showing off our new digs! Want to learn more?
- WE HIRED A BUNCH OF GREAT PEOPLE – We made a few more strategic hires including a well-known expert in International Risk Management!
