KMRD Announces Key Additions to Growing Risk Management Team
Bob Dietzel and Kevin McPoyle, Founding Partners of KMRD Partners, welcome John Garber, Jr., CSP, SPHR, SHRM-SCP and Karl Granlun, CPCU to the KMRD Risk Management team.
John’s role as part of the KMRD risk management team will be as Managing Director, Benefits and Human Capital Practice Group and will include responsibilities for risk management, human capital, risk control, employee benefits, talent management, organizational development and business development consulting services.
Karl’s role as Risk Manager, with a focus on delivering services for Aging Services organizations, will include coordinating the negotiation of renewal coverage terms, conditions and pricing, claims and loss control services, quality control reviews of policies and endorsements, along with other important risk management services such as contract reviews, bid and accrual support and forecasting.

Prior to joining KMRD Partners, John served as Senior Vice President at The Addis Group, where his responsibilities included risk management and human capital management consulting services.
In addition to his professional responsibilities, John gives back to the insurance and risk management community by serving as an adjunct professor for the Graduate Human Resource Development program at Villanova University as well as the ACCESS and MBA programs at DeSales University. John is the author of the EMS Safety and Risk Control Resource Manual, and a contributing author to the Employment Labor Law Audit. He has also published many articles on health, safety, security and risk management.
Karl served as Vice President and Account Manager in the Healthcare Practice Division of The Addis Group, prior to joining KMRD Partners. While there, Karl held senior underwriting, business development and marketing positions with leading Regional and National Insurance carriers.
