Here is cautionary news for companies doing business in Pennsylvania: In a report issued by Allstate ranking America’s 200 largest cities in terms of auto collision frequency, Philadelphia ranked near the bottom at 190. On average, a driver in our state’s largest city will be involved in an auto collision every 6.1 years. This fact coupled with the fact of having a large number of uninsured drivers in our area makes a good case for proper planning in the event of an accident.
Given this dubious distinction, it is time to act for companies doing business in Pennsylvania, whether the car is garaged here or not. If your company has a fleet of vehicles or if employees use their own cars while on company business, review your auto insurance coverage each year to understand its deductibles and coverage. Otherwise, your company could be at risk of substantial financial liabilities one minute from normal.
