Bob Dietzel Speaks at a Maritime and Intermodal Education Conference on Insurance and Risk Management Issues

Warrington, PA – April 1, 2008 - Bob Dietzel, Principal and Managing Partner of KMRD offered a presentation to a group of Maritime educators from across the country at the Maritime Institute of Technology and Graduate Studies (MITAGS) in Linthicum Maryland on April 1, 2008.

The presentation was part of a 2 day conference of members of Ship Operations Cooperative Program. The purpose of the conference was for educators to gather and share their experience in creating and running schools whose purpose is to introduce our youth to careers in the maritime industry. There are currently 18 such schools across the country, 13 of which were at the conference.

Bob presented "The Perfect Storm", a claims scenario that was fictional but incorporated his experience with maritime and educational institutions during his career. The group moderator's first question after hearing this scenario was, "Do you have any good news?". Bob then offered an outline of insurance coverage and and other risk management issues and techniques that are often overlooked by schools.
